I wrote this for ELA class im 8th grade. about the time from childhood to adolescence. What do you think?help?

I believe the transition from childhood to adolescence is a big thing. Going from a child to a adult isn鈥檛 very easy. Your body grows up and you discover new things happening in it. Your mind changes because you are getting more mature. I think this is the hardest time for a child because when you notice unusual things with your body you get scared and you want to ask for help. Sometimes there are cases when a child goes through something they might thing is supposed to happen and they don鈥檛 tell anybody because it is to embarrassing when really they need to tell somebody because what is going on with them may not be regular.

In the book house on Mango Street Esperanza goes through things that are hard to explain but she doesn鈥檛 ell anyone about them, but she gets through it. That鈥檚 not always the case though.

Usually when kids go through adolescence their personality, looks, and aura change. You begin to hang out with whole new crowd of kids. You change the way you look. The way you dress. The way you act. You become more interested in your friends and parties then with your family and school. Sometime, not always, your grades begin to drop. More then half of America鈥檚 teens are getting involved with drugs because they think everyone else is doing it.

They feel that they have a need to belong to a crowd. That they have to fit in or they will be an outcast. There are always the ones that hang on to their family and grades and make it through the rough stage because they are absolutely sure they want to be something I life.

As I said before, your personality changes in ways you wouldn鈥檛 believe. You turn on your parents and ignore them, speak to them rudely because you feel that they don鈥檛 understand you and they don鈥檛 want to understand you, when the whole time they are a hundred percent behind you and trying to work things out.

Teenagers over the years have been known to cause suicide mostly during their adolescence years, because when they are with friends they do stupid things that may make them lose their friends. Then they get mad at their parents for not being there when the parent has tried to help. (This is not always the case. Some parents don鈥檛 try.) Then they feel like they are trapped in a bubble and they have no reason to be alive because they think no one cares about them or their right to live and they cut their existence short.

So adolescence isn鈥檛 easy. When you see the rich kids on TV and they look like their life is perfect its not. Deep down they are always want something else. That鈥檚 how we humans are. You get one thin you want another. It never stops. We cant be happy with what we got. We always have to have something else.

Your spelling and punctuation need work. In one place you meant think but wrote thing. You change the way you look, the way you dress, etc. should be one sentence listing with commas, The way you dress. is not a sentence it is a sentence fragment. You forgot the t on the word tell and wrote she doesn't ell. You get one thin and want another should be you get one %26quot;thing%26quot;...look over your spelling very carefully. Also add apostrophe marks to contractions like the word can't. I hope you find my criticism helpful and constructive , I don't want you to be discouraged because you are a good logical writer in general.
