6. An equilateral triangle has three sides of equal length. What is the equation for the perimeter, or the distance around the sides, of an equilateral triangle if P = perimeter and s = length of a side? (1 point)

s = 3P

P = 3s

P = 3 + s

P = 3 (s + s + s)

8. The total cost to rent a rowboat is $18 times the number of hours the boat is used. Write an equation to model this situation if c = total cost and h = number of hours. (1 point)

c = 18h

c 鈥?18 = h

h = 18c

9. How can you tell the difference between finding the opposite of a number and finding its absolute value? (1 point)

There is no difference.

The absolute value of a number is always positive, and the opposite of a number is always negative.

Finding the absolute value changes the sign of the number, but the opposite of a number is always positive.

The absolute value is always positive, but finding the opposite of a number changes the sign of the number.

Short Answer

Your teacher will grade your responses to ensure you receive proper credit for your answers.

For questions 18鈥?1, show each step as you simplify.

When submitting an answer in the form of an exponent, use a caret (^) to indicate the power. For example, 53 would be written as 5^3.

When submitting an answer in the form of a fraction, use a forward slash (/) to separate the numerator and denominator. For example, one-half would be written as 1/2.

I'm not sure you're asking for help... It looks like you're asking for someone to do your homework for you...
PLZZ I NEED ALGEBRA HELP?
WOW i would understand if u asked 4 1 answer because u were stuk but u wrote dwn all ur homework... !!! u wnt learn if you dnt try 2 do it on yor own
This looks like a review for a unit test. My advice: Form a study group
Do your damn homework, and if somebody needs help in this section they would ask at least a question that he actually needs help in...not questions of their homework :)
