You must answer all parts (a – e) of the question.
a. What is it about the topic that is of interest to sociologists?
b. How would a sociologist view the topic from the sociological perspective (seeing the strange in the familiar; depersonalizing the personal; seeing the general in the particular)? Be creative in your thinking.
c. How would a sociologist who embraces the functionalist school of thought view the subject? How would a conflict theorist view the subject? symbolic interactionist school? feminist school? Provide theoretical insight and give examples to support your thinking.
d. How can the subject be studied scientifically? Provide an example of a possible hypothesis and the steps you would take to study the issue scientifically. Include discussion of concepts such as dependent and independent variables, research design (survey method, participant observation, etc.)
e. What did you learn about the topic and how can it be applied to your daily life? For example, has the information and discussion presented in class regarding race and ethnic relations changed your view in any significant way? Has your understanding of discrimination and prejudice changed? How do the concepts of defacto and dejure discrimination impact the lives of Americans? Is your understanding of culture and cultural change been modified as a result of discussions and information presented in class? Have your views regarding the American family changed as a result of class discussions? Bureaucracy? What have you learned about the similarities and differences between social movements such as the environmental movement and the civil rights movement?

Oh, wow Christine, this seems like a very interesting paper topic to write about. I think you should write it yourself though. Asking others to do your work for you is wrong, and in the long run you're only cheating yourself. I hope this makes you rethink your decisions and choices.
