I am 14 and i wish i can start ballet dancing?

i'm a 14 y/o girl. and i really really want to start ballet. is it too late? it feels like it. i started before when i was 4 but only went for a few wekkes then stop. what do you think? i am already having a busy schedule here with school, school activities, piano lessons, art classes, sunday school. and i heard ballet lessons cost a lot, i'm not sure about my parents. and i'm 14!!! it going to be terrible. i'll have to work with the little kids of 4 to 6 and i'm going to be the only 14 year-old in class. so..... EMBARRASSING! but oh dear, i really want to dance....

here are a few questions:

do you think i can try it? after all those problems up there?

how long do classes last, how many times a week?

how much do they cost?

how long do you need to change your shoes. i mean, how long does one pair last? and how much do they cost?

if i 'll start at grade one, then can i skip grades? like try to catch up with other 14 y/o's?

how will the exams be?

DO YOU THINK I SHOULD GO FOR IT?

you do have quiet a busy schedual but just look for a place then ask your parents

shoes last ages if you dont do loads of lessons a week it pointe shoes that dont last bacause there the ones in which you go on your toes in and they get worn away easilly.

As i say, it's never too late for anything. And of course you can do ballet. That's the reason some people even do ballet in the first place: to be flexible. And don't worry about it. Usually there are classes for girls with the same age as you. Also you get to choose your schedule. If you think you can do it, try it 5 times a week, the minimum in our school is 2 times a week. Also usually ballet shoes don't cost that much, and are usually used 3 months or more. Exams for us usually are written(spelling of the terms and their meaning) and physical(dancing). In our school you could skip up to 3 levels if you're really good. I think you should go for it. I'm 18 and started doing ballet since i was 5 and loved it ever since. Good Luck and i hope you like it as much as i do!! :D
heyy you go girl! i started ballet when i was 10 and i was in the class with a bunch of 5 year olds! you will move up quickly if you practice your moves and go to every class you can. I dance with to different studios and is about 15 dollars for a class and more for private lessons. my shoes haves lasted me for about a year so far and i dance 3 times a week but it really depends on how offten you dance. it might take a while to catch up with the other 14 year olds buttrusrt me it is all worth it!!!! i love ballet and i am sure you will too!!!
no its not too late
You go right ahead! It is never to later to dance. I knew a woman who started dancing when she was 30. It is never to late to start Ballet. Just do your best, and have fun.
