My life has changed so much during high school and i dont like it at all. I stopped hanging out with my friends and am not good with the ladies. Im not a loser and ive had attractive girlfriends in the past, but my life has drastically changed during my 9th grade summer. I sit her 10th grade summer writing to complete strangers asking if they have had the same situations and how?|||High school is during that age of your life when your hormones are out of control trying to balance themselves out. Making you awkward and unhappy in this caged environment. The first two years of high school is a time to be a kid and make mistakes and have fun. But make sure you learn from your mistakes and never repeat the same mistake. The last two years should be focused on bettering yourself as a fully functioning person of society (get a job, stay out of jail)
You should enjoy the last years of being an adolescent, but prepare yourself to be an adult.|||Your throwing your life off get back into life.

How do I change the the voices of people in videos?
I have to make a video for a project I%26#039;m working on in school, and I would like to know how you change your voice once you upload the videos onto the computer (kind of like Fred). I want to make my video as entertaining as possible for a good grade. Help please?|||There is probably some video-editing software that you can buy that allows you to do this, but what I would do is search google for an mp3 extractor. Then extract the mp3 from the video. Then get audacity and mess with the sound file however you want. Then merge it back with the video.

What are the chances of a college changing their mind about your acceptance?

I just got accepted to my top choice university! but i heard colleges can change their mind if your grades slip senior year. i was just wondering how often this actually happens and how bad your grades would have to slip for the school to change their mind about you?|||If you get an academic scholarship, then you could get dropped (or lose your scholarship) if your grades drop. But, they would have to drop significantly. For example, if you were in the top 10% of your class at the beginning of your senior year, but your grades were bad enough so that you lost that position by the end of your senior year, then you would have something to worry about. Basically, I think that schools want to see that you still cared and tried second semester and did something other than party your way til the end of the year. If you have an A in calculus first semester and a B second semester, you will be ok. When I was in 5th grade, I thought EVERYONE was going to be different in 6th grade, but no one actually changed until 8th grade.

It%26#039;s not tolerated from newcomers. At that age, you%26#039;re allowed into the teen disco, where they all played a game called %26quot;Beat the Slu-t%26quot; and had to kiss as many boys as they could. It was really awful.

I do know who you are. The grade you received is based on your grades and class participation. I have re-reviewed your scores and I did not make a mistake in computing your grade. While you may not agree with it, I believe the grade is appropriate. Your midterm and final exam grade are based solely on your performance on the exam with the benefit of the curve which I gave to the entire class. Additionally I gave you 20 out of a possible 25 points for attendance and class participation (15 points for attendance and 10 points for participation). Your recollection of your class participation is very different than mine. As I explained when the class first met, I value class discussion and debate. While I cannot grade heavily for this, I do take into account how a student participates in class discussions. There are students who participated regularly by asking questions and engaging in discussions when topics were put before the class. There were others who chose not to participate at all in the class discussions and then there were those who were somewhere in the middle.
I can appreciate your concern about your grade, but I do not believe your grade should be changed.|||I agree with ruby. I could understand if you were an A+ student and got a C. But it does seem that your grades are final. A professor can be that way, but at times when you do take the time out and explain to the professor that your grade will change, usually they will. Is it wrong to change your mind about who your Maid of Honor is?
I have a friend that I%26#039;ve been friends with since 3rd grade. In 7th grade her and her family moved far away. Since then we have kept in touch and talk on a regular basis. We see each other every two years or so. When we were little we use to talk about how we were going to be each others Maid of Honor. I am now 28 and 2 years ago she got married and asked me to be her Maid of Honor. I was a little surprised because so much time had passed I would have thought she would have chosen someone else. When I was 20 I met another girl who has been basically my best friend since. We lived together for 5 years and a have a wonderful friendship. She has helped me get through so many tough situations. I couldn%26#039;t imagine getting married with out her right next to me. I am now engaged and have the dilemma of do I ask my best friend of 9 years or do I go with my childhood friend from 3rd grade. I have tried to change my life style several times but failed. It was my new year resolution but couldn%26#039;t do it. Why do people wait until its too late to do things right? They wait until they鈥檝e already failed, already lost, to put up a fight. It makes no sense, your efforts have been wasted, why put all your time and effort into the end? In the beginning is where you should have placed it. How to change your look over the summer?

Should I start a new workout plan? If so then what?

One thing I don%26#039;t want to do is get a major haircut because I am trying to grow it out.
Please keep in mind that I have the whole summer to complete this.|||I think you should start by sorting out your diet and exercise plan. Eat more healthy foods that are lower in fat, sugar and salt and are generally fresh (not processed). Get in at least 5 fruit/veggies an day, smoothies are great for this if you have trouble, just make sure you use skim milk and no sugar. For the exercising, try getting in 30-45min a day of moderate exercise, and I would recommend cardio exercises that make your heart beat faster such as running, powerwalking, cycling, swimming and the elliptical or rowing machine (if you have access to gym equipment). If you want to add more, try doing a yoga and pilates workout a couple of times a week, that include sit-ups, thigh work outs etc. This will make you feel healthier.
For make-up, I would go with simple mascara (don%26#039;t overdo it), lip gloss and either eyeliner or eyeshadow. Eyeliner and eyeshadow is far too much make-up for school (especially the 9th grade) so stick with one or the other. When you do use eyeliner, stick with black and use on either the top lid or bottom, both looks too much. With eyeshadow, find a color that suits your skin tone, try not to use anything too bright (stick to soft colors, or tones that aren%26#039;t bright). Your lip gloss should be a light color or clear.
For clothes, go with a little of everything. You need at least one pair of jeans, tees, tanks, dresses (especially one for formal wear, or just a black nice one), shorts, skirts, jacket, sweater, hoodie etc. With your new look, try new stores and styles. If you%26#039;re handy on the sewing machine you could even try revamping your old clothes.
Accessories you may need (depending on where you live) are: sunglasses, scarf, gloves, belts, hats, handbag, headband, clips, leg warmers, headscarf etc.

In school, how do you not let grades change your opinion of yourself and your work?
My second-mother - a teacher I am extremely close to - told me that I should not let a grade impair my view of my work and of myself. This is particularly important for me as I am a neurotic perfectionist, whereby the value of my productivity defines my value, in this situation school grades.
For example, I get an 89% on an English essay. Prior to receiving the mark, I thought that my essay was a very well written essay, and I was proud of myself for it. I withdrew my job applications and denied any offers. Finally, my mother convinced me to accept an application by saying this to me:

The existence of a person who can write an essay better than you does not imply that your essay isn%26#039;t fine. Conversely, good marks do not necessarily imply good work.
Marks only last as long as school. Try to learn concrete skills. If you focus just on grades you will graduate with a pocket full of A%26#039;s and no marketable skills. Then you%26#039;ll really feel terrible.
On the other hand, your dilemma makes you an excellent candidate for a math major. It%26#039;s decided, you will be a math major.|||I have the same problem. There are lots of reasons a teacher can mark down an essay. Just remember, It%26#039;s the essay, not you. :)|||as a former teacher and student i can tell you the importance of school isnt in the grades its in the learning things . learning how to study , work and just the subjects . there isnt a direct correlation between grades and success. there are a lot of successful dropousts and c students and vice versa. do your best because its a good habit . when you want to start making money these skills will really help|||Look at it differently. A low grade means you just have more to learn. That simple, room for improvement.

So, my points are the following:
1) it is impossible to be perfect all the time. We are human beings, not Gods. So, it%26#039;s not that bad to make some mistakes from time to time and get 89% instead of 100%.

Remember that when you have 100% you may start thinking you are the smartest and there is no use for you to continue studying well. 89% is an excellent way for developing your skills and your knowledge further on. It%26#039;s a good stimulus to study even harder than you do now.
3) To evaluate essays is a very difficult and subjective thing (I don%26#039;t mean correcting grammar mistakes, I mean the sense, contents of the essay). Your teacher might have disagreed to your opinion and gave you 89%, but another teacher could agree with you and you would have got 100%. It is very subjective and personal.
4) Do not be upset. I feel you are a great student. The wish to be perfect always makes a person nervous and causes stresses. Live in harmony. For example, you%26#039;ve got 89% and you are upset. Eat some chocolate or go to the hairdresser%26#039;s and make a new cool haircut, or tell all your friends and relatives you love them! After that you%26#039;ll start treating these 89% differently.
I%26#039;ve always been a perfectionist and have all my diplomas with excellent marks. Now that I%26#039;m an adult, I understand that studying is not the most important thing in life. The existence of a person who can write an essay better than you does not imply that your essay isn%26#039;t fine. Conversely, good marks do not necessarily imply good work.
Marks only last as long as school. Try to learn concrete skills. If you focus just on grades you will graduate with a pocket full of A%26#039;s and no marketable skills. Then you%26#039;ll really feel terrible.
On the other hand, your dilemma makes you an excellent candidate for a math major. It%26#039;s decided, you will be a math major.|||I have the same problem. There are lots of reasons a teacher can mark down an essay. Just remember, It%26#039;s the essay, not you. :)|||as a former teacher and student i can tell you the importance of school isnt in the grades its in the learning things . learning how to study , work and just the subjects . there isnt a direct correlation between grades and success. there are a lot of successful dropousts and c students and vice versa. do your best because its a good habit . when you want to start making money these skills will really help|||Look at it differently. A low grade means you just have more to learn. That simple, room for improvement.

So, my points are the following:
1) it is impossible to be perfect all the time. We are human beings, not Gods. So, it%26#039;s not that bad to make some mistakes from time to time and get 89% instead of 100%.
2) 89% is a very good result. Remember that when you have 100% you may start thinking you are the smartest and there is no use for you to continue studying well. 89% is an excellent way for developing your skills and your knowledge further on. It%26#039;s a good stimulus to study even harder than you do now.
3) To evaluate essays is a very difficult and subjective thing (I don%26#039;t mean correcting grammar mistakes, I mean the sense, contents of the essay). Your teacher might have disagreed to your opinion and gave you 89%, but another teacher could agree with you and you would have got 100%. It is very subjective and personal.
4) Do not be upset. I feel you are a great student. The wish to be perfect always makes a person nervous and causes stresses. Live in harmony. For example, you%26#039;ve got 89% and you are upset. Eat some chocolate or go to the hairdresser%26#039;s and make a new cool haircut, or tell all your friends and relatives you love them! After that you%26#039;ll start treating these 89% differently.
I%26#039;ve always been a perfectionist and have all my diplomas with excellent marks. Now that I%26#039;m an adult, I understand that studying is not the most important thing in life. It is necessary, of course. But LOVE, HEALTH, HARMONY AND GOOD RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS ARE MORE IMPORTANT. believe me!

How will a college know if your transcript is right?
I mean...When your counsler prints it out and you have a bad grade, cant you simply retype it on the computer and change your grade then send your transcript to the college

I got a 82 on the first test, which worth 15 percent (.15 * 82=12.5)
72 on the second worth 20 (72 * 20=14.4)
77 on the third worth 25 (77 *25= 19.25)
The averages quizzes is worth 10 percent and go 73 as the total average (73*10=7.3)
For lab I got 83 average which is worth 30 percent (83*30=24.9)
On top of that, I got 9 extra credits on my final grade because I did a presentation and did a museum trip and wrote a page about it...
adding all that up
12.3+14.4+19.25+7.3+9+24.9=87.15
So I don%26#039;t understand why I got a C?

The other possibility is that you were in a class with a distributed grading system, and you do not understand how it works. If the most of the class did better than an 87.15, then you getting a C makes sense. Grades in college are more like rankings.
You all ready want her to change your grade, before you get an explanation. Funny. Email her and ask if you want, which you obviously do. It is always possible the prof made a mistake, so it is not a bad idea to check, but in all likelihood you misunderstood something that is clearly written on the syllabus (students do this all the time). Before you email her, you better have a close look at it. No need to waste other people%26#039;s time just because you might not be able to read. The other day in English, we had a pop quiz on The Oddessey. I originally got 100%, and on the quiz I wrote %26quot;a waste of paper%26quot; because there were like two answers on it. How do you convience my professor to change your grade?
You see I got a C in biology but i was expecting a B, I did all work assignments, and extra credit to bring my grade up and I thought i did...|||first ask him if he likes chocolate.....|||You could respectfully ask your professor if he would review your grade with you, and explain to you how it was calculated. It is possible, however, that the extra credit was insufficient to bolster your grade.|||Meet with the professor and discuss your options to raise the grade. In the future, meet regularly with your professors to discuss your progress and measures to meet the course criteria.|||ask him what grades you got and calculate your grade yourself. if there is a difference say to him %26quot;i found my grade average and it is different from what you gave me, how did you do the grading%26quot; it is possible that they made a mistake.
